We could like to wish good luck to all competitors ahead of this year’s BRC NAF Five Star National Horse Trials Championships 2019 which will be taking place this weekend (2-4 August) at Swalcliffe Park Equestrian.

Over 650 junior and senior riders have qualified for the Championship which consists of Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross County phases as well as Roads and Tracks and Steeplechase for selected classes. Due to the increase in competitors a new class has been added to the schedule the Open HT 80cm, which has proved popular.

Throughout the three days of competition, 3 course walks will be taking place, with International Event rider Jonty Evans leading the HT90, Jo Winfield FBHS- HT 80 and Ann Bostock BHS Stage 5 APC – HT 100 & 100+. A quiz and raffle will also be taking place on Saturday night raising money for Hannah’s Willbury Wonder Pony.

BRC has the pleasure of welcoming NAF as the title sponsor, who is returning for a third year sponsoring this event. Melanie Newman of NAF said:

“NAF are delighted to be celebrating 20 years of partnership with British Riding Clubs and what better way to celebrate than our current ‘20 for 20 years giveaway’. British Riding Club members have a chance of winning 20 amazing prizes which have been generously donated. NAF would like to wish all competitors the very best of luck throughout the event.”

Results and pictures will be posted on the BRC Facebook page over the weekend, with full results available on the BRC website after the Championship event.
